How to Stop Judging Others

Ok, so this article won't get you to stop judging others, but it will make you think twice about how you are judging others.

Overheard something this weekend as I was listening to a talk that Lincoln Brewster was giving on team dynamics at CMS (Christian Music Summit) this past weekend at Overlake Christian Church.  He said something along the lines of this:

"Isn't it interesting how we judge ourselves by our intentions, but judge others by their actions?"

In other words, we can always pardon ourselves for our actions and decisions because we know the motivations behind them.  But, when it comes to others it is so easy to point out their faults because the story behind those actions and decisions are usually unknown.

But the question remains, even if intentions are good, does that excuse the action?  Not necessarily, right?  Bottom line, judgment is necessary but never if you're taking the place of God.  Intention and action... both of them will be flawed regardless, but that's why we need God's grace in all of this.
